IMG 1308 roberts 061 EditAt Roberts Swiss we pride ourselves with the relationships we have developed with our customers engineering groups. Roberts will work with your engineers from the concept stage of a component through the production process.

Production of finalized components is NOT the end of our work with your engineers. As we run manufacturing processes and learn the nuances of the particular component we work with you and update you of potential solutions and mitigating costs.

Engineering - Technology

Engineering and technology go hand in hand. We use the latest technology by maintaining the latest versions of Solidworks and PartMaker software. We use Solidworks to create 3D models of all components that we manufacture. This allows us to create robust 2D layouts for manufacturing. 3D modeling also allows Roberts and its clients to review component features to ensure accuracy and clearly defined dimensions.

Engineering works with the plant to during the development of models and the production drawings. This relationship creates clearly defined drawing with plant input to yield effective production outputs. Using PartMaker SwissCAM gives Roberts Swiss the capability to develop complex CNC programs and layout options prior to setting a job up. It also allows Roberts to run simulations prior to the job hitting the plant floor. Proving out set-ups and programs before a tool is touched.

Engineering – Quality

Our work is cross-functional. Quality relies and Engineering and vice-versa. 3D models help Quality understand the design of the parts and the intent of the customer. 3D models also help Quality understand the Roberts Swiss manufacturing process. Effectively engaging by internal groups creating well defined processes. 3D models can be imported into Qualities test equipment (OGP FLASH 200 3D Vision System) to facilitate their programming.

Size Matters

Since our start in 1953, Roberts Swiss has always been the experts at tiny parts. Originally known as Roberts Pivots & Needles, Inc., we started out making high-end phonograph needles. Customers have continually asked for smaller, more accurate parts, a logical request of a company whose logo is the atom.

From the beginning, the atom was our logo, signifying the small and precise nature of the components we make. Are you challenged by small, close-tolerance parts? You've come to the right place - Roberts Swiss.
