Supply chain management (SCM) is the management of the flow of goods and services. It includes the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption. 

The overall goal of SCM is to reduce inventory without compromising service levels and keep manufacturing as lean as possible. At Roberts Swiss, SCM is a critical part of our operations.

A poorly managed supply chain can bring production to a halt. As a part of our customers’ supply chain, we’re committed to maintaining an uninterrupted flow of parts into your inventory and production lines. We work to minimize shortages and keep your costs down. To this end, we offer a full array of SCM services, such as contract-managed inventory, blanket-order inventory management, and purchase order management.

We’ll also make recommendations to improve your productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. Such improvements can go straight to your company’s bottom line and have a real and lasting impact. 

Our Processes

At Roberts Swiss, our entire SCM process is a collaborative effort between the Customer Service, Quality Assurance, and the Traffic/Shipping teams. Together these teams move customer parts through every stage of SCM. Parts flow into finished goods (FG) inventory in a timely and accurate manner.

We’ve developed strong relationships with our supply chain to ensure that any special processes go to the best-in-class suppliers. During every step of the manufacturing process, parts are handled with care and in compliance with the strictest quality requirements.
